LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method of fabricating the liquid crystal display are provided to prevent neighboring pixel electrodes from short-circuiting by forming an insulating layer on the pixel electrodes before a light-shielding layer is formed. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a TFT array(408) formed on an insulating substrate(401), a passivation layer(409) for protecting the TFT array, and pixel electrodes(410) formed on the passivation layer. The liquid crystal display further includes a light-shielding layer formed on a portion of the passivation layer, placed between neighboring pixel electrodes. The liquid crystal display also has a color filter(413) formed on the pixel electrodes. The light-shielding layer is formed in a manner that an insulating layer(411) and a black resin(412) are stacked.
