PURPOSE: A method for implementing a plurality of IP addresses in a router is provided to allow a plurality of IP(Internet Protocol) addresses to each Ethernet port, thereby charging several networks through one Ethernet port equipped to the router. CONSTITUTION: Two addresses are given to one Ethernet port equipped within a router(10) and a sub network is managed through each IP address. One Ethernet port equipped to the router(10) receives a main IP address such as '191.243.138.129' and a sub IP address such as '191.243.138.94'. A sub network constructed by PCs(10a,10b,...) is managed through the main IP address and a sub network constructed by PCs(20a,20b,...) is managed through a sub IP address. The one Ethernet port of the router can possess 5 sub and main IP addresses and the respective networks are managed by the respective addresses.
