PING TEST METHOD IN DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A ping test method in a data transmission system is provided to remarkably improve the accuracy of a ping test by turning on an LMI function again after carrying out the ping test in an LMI-off state and preventing an error due to the LMI function in the ping test between data transmission systems. CONSTITUTION: In an initial state(S1), a cell bit system judges whether an LMI function is in an on-state(S2). In case that the LMI function is in the on-state, the EMS(Element Management System) of the cell bit system transmits an LMI modification message to an FR(Frame Relay subscriber board) via a system control board(S4). In response to the LMI modification message, the FR turns off the LMI function. If the FR transmits a confirmation message to the EMS through the system control board(S5), the EMS executes a ping test(S6).
