PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display having a function for improving the display failure caused by existence of a defective dot effectively and at a low cost. SOLUTION: A display performing display based on input signals is provided with a signal processing part which corrects the input signals and outputs the corrected signals and a display panel 105 which is constituted by being arranged with a plurality of dots which are electrically controlled based on the signals from the signal processing part. The processing part has a LUT(lookup table) 102 in which correction data being data for compensating the display failure caused by the defective dot and data which are predetermined by being related to the input signals are stored and an arithmetic circuit 103 which, when a defective dot being a dot which can not be electrically controlled exists, obtains correction data from the LUT 102 based on the input signals and corrects the input signals of neighboring dots existing at prescribed positions in accordance with the defective dot by using obtained correction data and outputs the corrected signals.
