PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the usage of a video display device installed in a place to meet eyes of a large number of people into purposes other than displaying a video according to a pre-determined schedule, and also to facilitate controlling such a video display device. SOLUTION: The network board for the video display device comprises a video output terminal and a communication terminal 15 to be connected to a video input terminal and a communication terminal of the video display device, a network connection terminal 9, a recording means 18 for recording video data inputted from the terminal 9, a video processing means 17 for transmitting the video signals recorded in the recording means 18 into video signals displayable by the video display device and sending them to the video output terminal 15, and a communication processing means 17 for transforming the communication signals inputted from the terminal 9 into those processible by the video display device and sending them to the communication terminal 15, and transforming the communication signals inputted from the communication terminal 15 into those transmissible by the network and sending them to the terminal 9.
