<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting deformation in the manufacture process of drying and calcining sanitary wares by using a general purpose structural analysis program. SOLUTION: In the process of manufacturing sanitary wares by drying and calcining, the shrinkage at every hour and the strain generating by unit stress are calculated from the manufacturing conditions, the above process is divided into several zones, the apparent Young's modulus which produces the strain in each zone and the shrinkage in the zone are calculated, each zone is simulated by using a general purpose structural analysis program such as finite element method based on the above calculated apparent Young's modulus and shrinkage to predict the deformation.</p> |
