PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fungicide capable of exhibiting excellent fungicidal action, excellent in an effect for controlling a musty smell, and especially suitably used as the fungicide for metallic parts. SOLUTION: This fungicide contains a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic antimicrobial and a quaternary ammonium salt of which the counter ion comprises elements other than halogen as active ingredients. A quaternary ammonium salt of which the counter ion comprises a 1-3C alkyl sulfate is preferably used as the active ingredient.
