PURPOSE: A method for urgent calling of a telephone is provided to promptly cope with the urgent state of the aged and the disabled living alone by automatically dialing numbers preliminarily recorded. CONSTITUTION: An urgent rescue telephone number is automatically dialed for requesting rescue by sensing an RF signal of a portable receiver or operating an urgent rescue button(S1). Several telephone numbers preliminary recorded are automatically dialed(S2). A mode of the portable receiver is converted into a speakerphone mode to enable rescue men to talk over the telephone with a person requested rescue(S3). An image taken by a camera to show the state of a place where rescue is requested, is transmitted to a control center of rescue(S4). An alarm lamp is operated to report the inside urgent state to the outside via a wire.
