Hair removal device has a servo-controlled diode laser (1) delivering energy to a hand piece (10) through a bundle of optic fibres (8) terminating in a focusing device (12). The hand piece contains a micro-camera (4) permitting magnified display of the zone under treatment and controlling the laser power in response to differences in skin color.
