<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compost equipment which aerobically ferments hardly degradable organic wastes, such as garbage, stably for a long period, and subjects the wastes to compression treatment to good-quality products with decreased odors. SOLUTION: A fermentation chamber (9) constituted by constructing a rear flank of a hermetic fermentation vessel (1) as an overflow wall (5), forming deposition layers (7) of a prescribed height in the vessel (1), horizontally installing an agitation shaft (2) intermittently driven by a timer (2b) inside the vessel (1), arraying short pawls (3a to 3e) at equal intervals like a screw to the agitation shaft (2) and discontinuously arraying long pawls (4a to 4d) like a backward direction screw so as to avoid overlapping on the short pawls is formed to the sufficient volume to occupy 60 to 80% of the deposition layers (7). A maturation chamber (10) is constituted by installing a raw material feeding port (8) with a hermetic cap to the central upper part and arraying the long pawls (4e to 4f) and the short pawl (3f) not like the screw to the agitation shaft (2) in the remaining volume of the deposition layers (7).</p> |
