STEEL-MAKING ARC ELECTRIC FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel-making arc electric furnace, in which temperature is uniformly elevated rapidly up to melting temperature of a material to be melted without reducing the furnace strength, and time for melting and refining can be shortened. SOLUTION: A refractory layer 2 is provided as lining on a lower surface B on the hearth side of a shell 1 of the arc electric-furnace. A refrigerant flow path 6 is built in the furnace-wall upper-face A of the shell 1. An oxygen gas- supply pipe 10 penetrating the shell 1 is connected to an oxygen gas dispersing- supply chamber 9. A number of oxygen gas outlets 11 directing to the material to be melted are peripherally provided in an oxygen gas dispersing-supply chamber 9. A refrigerant circulation panel 3 is provided as lining at an optional place of the chamber 9.
