PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a continuously variable transmission and to reduce costs. SOLUTION: A torque converter 12 is stored within a torque converter case. A positively/reversely switching mechanism 13 and a belt type continuously variable transmission 14 are stored within a transmission case 41. An input shaft 42 for transmitting power from the torque converter 12 to the continuously variable transmission 14 is rotatably supported by a support member 44 fixed to the transmission case 41. A manual valve 30 connected with a shift lever 32 is formed at the inside on an upper side of the support member 44. An oil passage 50 communicated with a control valve 29 from the manual valve 30 is formed at the inside of the support member 44.
