The keyboard keys have electrical contacts, being arranged in rows on a base. The base has a right (15) and a left (14) half, with holders (18-20). By virtue of the holders, the base halves can be moved from a position where the keyboard rows in the two halves form straight lines, to one where they form broken lines. This provides a facility for adjustment to suit the direction of the arms of a user and/or the plane of the palms of the hands. - The base halves each have at least one pin which slides in a track in a frame where it can be locked in a required position by fixation units. They also have individual lifting arrangements for raising the keyboard row end nearest the keyboard central line in relation to its outer end. |
