Electro-optical instrument for photopolymerisation of composition materials which comprises; (A) LED light source (2); (B) electronically controlled power feed with a battery (4); and (C) DC/DC converter (7). Also included is a passive heat remover (3) and a central controller (5) for the operating parameters of (A). Electro-optical instrument for photopolymerisation of composition materials which comprises: (A) LED light source (2); (B) electronically controlled power feed with a battery (4); and (C) DC/DC converter (7). Also included is a passive heat remover (3) and a central controller (5) for the operating parameters of (A). The instrument has a power circuit to feed each LED or LED group at a predetermined value by cyclic modulation and an LED thermal drift corrector. The passive heat remover comprises: (a) electronic LED support card with metallic tracks to transfer heat from the base of each LED to the periphery of the card; (b) heat conducting material round each LED housing to transfer a maximum number of calories to the periphery of the card; or (c) a metal radiator attached to the card by a heat transmitting paste or glue and a thermal joint to transmit the heat to a metal component with a high thermal inertia. A temperature sensor is embedded in the thermal joint to provide a real time value of the optical assembly temperature.
