PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an engine which can suppress discharge of unburned fuel. SOLUTION: In an engine, having a means performing EGR introducing exhaust gas to a combustion chamber and a means installed in an exhaust pipe to convert HC which is unburned fuel, the means converting HC performs EGR during the time from an engine start to having converting capacity (ON).
