PURPOSE: A VDP(Video Display Processor) of a digital broadcasting receiving system reducing an internal memory is provided to implement the VDP using one line memory, so as to reduce a chip size and miniaturize the digital broadcasting receiving size. CONSTITUTION: A buffer(20) buffers video data inputted from an external memory. A line memory(21) updates and stores line data inputted from the buffer and intermediate data inputted from a vertical filter/interpolator(22). The vertical filter/interpolator vertically filters and interpolates the line data stored in the line memory to generate intermediate data. And a horizontal filter/interpolator(23) horizontally filters and interpolates the intermediate data inputted from the vertical filter/interpolator and prior intermediate data stored in the line memory, and outputs the filtered and interpolated intermediate data as output video data. The vertical filter/interpolator includes a 5-tap vertical filter. And the line memory is a 5-line size RAM(Random Access Memory). |
