A transmission (100) for a continuous variation of the rotational speed between a driving member and a driven member, a rotatable driving shaft (1) mounted to the driving member, a driving cone (2) engaged with the driving shaft (1), an output drive shaft (7) assembly further comprising an output roller drive disk (14) having a preripheral surface frictionally engagable with the cone (2), a ratio positioner (15) functioning to position the ouptut roler drive disk at the desired location along the cone (2) thereby providing variable ratio output drive shaft.
