PURPOSE: A crane lifter having a rotatably coil hook is provided to prevent the degradation of the quality of a coil by minimizing the scratches on the coil during coiling, to store a large amount of coil in a yard by reducing the interval between coils, and to avoid the troubles of a lifter due to the wear of a lifter touch bar. CONSTITUTION: A crane lifter includes a coil hook(23) attached to the rear end of an arm(3) and a drive unit installed on the arm to swing the coil hook in a specific angle. If the coil hook is kept in the horizontal state and forms 90 angular degrees with the arm, the rear portion of the coil hook lifts up a coil hook fixing member(16). A drive motor(18) rotates, and the coil hook swings down 90 angular degrees. After the swing-down of the coil hook is completed, a crane is moved to a target point. If a lifter is placed on a coil on the target point, the lifter is lifted down safely. To prevent the coil from being scratched, a scratch-preventing crown roll(53) is installed on the lifter arm.
