摘要 PURPOSE: A method for selecting optimum position of driving roll of correction segments for a continuous caster strand is provided to improve internal quality and surface quality by minimizing deformation of a slab due to correction strain and drawing force and installing upper and lower drawing motors at bow segment. CONSTITUTION: The method for selecting optimum position of driving roll of correction segments for a continuous caster strand is characterized in that a slab which is solidified so that the surface of the slab maintains a certain shape by passing through a mold of a continuous caster reaches a final segments(23) having a certain radius of curvature after passing through foot rolls and a plurality of guide rolls and drawing rolls equipped at the strand so that correction deformation is performed on the slab as it is passing its correction starting point(24), the slab gets to a final correction deformation point(25) by passing subsequently positioned each correction segments(21,22) so that correction deformation is completed, and each drawing rolls(19,20,23a) installed at the segments(21,22,23) perform drawing actions in the state that the drawing rolls(19,20,23a) are positioned at the lower part of the slab when the slab in the non-solidified state passes through each of the segments(21,22,23), wherein the drawing rolls(19,20,23a) perform drawing actions even onto the upper surface of the slab in the reduction state of a drawing roll(23b) by corresponding to a drawing roll(23a) at the lower side of a bow segment in front of the correction region.
