PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detectability for a car body detecting zone in a car washer. SOLUTION: In a car body detecting device 22 of the car washer 10, a plurality of projectors 31 to 34 are two-dimensionally arranged on one side of the car body detecting zone, a plurality of photo detectors 41 to 44 are two- dimensionally arranged on the other side, each projector 31 to 34 is sequentially turned on, and light from one projector 31 (or 32 to 34) is received by the plurality of photo detectors 41 to 44.
