PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of transplanting top soil by which the top soil can be transferred as it is without destroying the natural environment and ecosystem of the top soil when carrying out various kinds of construction work, and further to provide a top soil- transplanting tool and a top soil stripping-off mechanism. SOLUTION: This method of transplanting top soil comprises adopting a characteristic structural means. The characteristic structural means comprises forming a step F' of the top soil by digging the ground over the periphery region of the starting of the stripping-off up to a prescribed depth in the region F to be transplanted, stripping off the top soil up to the required depth of the region F to be transplanted while keeping the natural state without damaging the top soil by sticking a top soil-transplanting tool 1 having the tip faced to the step F' of the top soil by using a proper means, into the soil, transporting the top soil by using the top soil-transplanting tool 1 as a transporting tool while fully carrying the top soil by loading the top soil-transplanting tool 1 on a proper transporting means, bringing the top soil-transplanting tool 1 to right above a transplanting site 80 by hanging the soil-transplanting tool 1 from the transporting means, lowering the top soil-transplanting tool 1 on the transplanting site, and spreading the top soil layer as it is on the transplanting ground to finish the transplanting.
