摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel steering control system that can reconcile contrary events of a reduced turning radius of a vehicle in a low speed range and a suppressed projection of a vehicle rear end, and imposes no sense of incompatibility on a driver. SOLUTION: A target rear wheel steering angleδrs is computed by a bridge control (steps 203 to 214 among others) during a travel over a given distance Xsoe after starting, and by a normal control (steps 215 to 217 among others) after the travel over the given distance Xsoe. The normal control computes the target rear wheel steering angleδrs in the opposite phase to an actual front wheel steering angleδf at least at a given vehicle speed or lower (step 201). The bridge control computers, in principle, a temporary target rear wheel steering angleδr0 computed on the assumption that the normal control is being executed, as the target rear wheel steering angleδrs (step 210), and if the temporary target rear wheel steering angleδr0 exceeds a limit valueδr limits, reduces the target rear wheel steering angleδrs to the limit valueδr limits (step 212).
