MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR TUBULAR ARTICLE WITH FLANGE OF FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a tubular article with a flange of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP). SOLUTION: A prepreg 12 is placed at surroundings of a first mold 10 (Figure 1a) and a second mold 14 is placed at the outside of it (Figure 1b). The prepreg 12 is extended from its end face outer in the radius direction by using an extension jig 18 (Figure 1c). The extended parts of the prepreg 12 are held by the second mold 14 and a third mold 22 and are molded (Figure 1d). A prepreg matrix resin is cured under this condition and the tubular article with the flange of FRP is obtained.
