PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus which is capable of conducting CT photography even at a tilt angle immediately before a gantry collides with a subject and eliminating at the same time a colliding risk between the gantry and the subject. SOLUTION: A standard subject is preliminarily assumed in obtaining a tilt angle as an angle that evades a collision by allowing the gantry to have a prescribed space from the tilt angle which may cause a collision with the subject, where a cursor 11 can freely be set up within the tilt angle that evades the collision (slice plan 1), while the cursor 11 can be set up only by conducting a specific process when the tilt angle for evading collision is exceeded. CT photography is performed by automatically tilt the gantry when based on the slice plan 1, but controlled so that the gantry can be tilted only manually when based on the slice plan 2.
