PISTON FOR DIESEL ENGINE TO IMPROVE COOLING PERFORMANCE

PURPOSE: A piston for a diesel engine is provided to improve the performance of the engine by forming a plurality of protrusions on a cooling gallery and reducing the amount of oil introduced into the cooling gallery. CONSTITUTION: A piston(1) for a diesel engine is composed of a combustion chamber(3) formed on the upper part of the piston(1), a cooling gallery(2) formed on the lower part of the combustion chamber(3) and having a large sectional area, and a piston pin(4) formed on the lower part of the piston(1). A plurality of protrusions are formed on the upper part of the cooling gallery(2).
