PURPOSE: A system and a method for transferring IPC(Inter Process Communication) messages in an exchange are provided to convert an IPC message into an inter IPC server message or an inter IPC server message into an IPC message so that processes in different systems can exchange IPC messages each other. CONSTITUTION: A system for transferring IPC messages consists of processes(13,23), IPC message conversion libraries(15,25), and IPC servers(17,27). The process(13) in system A fetches the IPC message conversion library(15), encodes an IPC message to transmit to the other system(B), converts it into an inter IPC server message, and transfers the converted message to the IPC server(17). Also the process(13) fetches the IPC message conversion library(15) to decode an inter IPC server message transferred through the IPC servers(17,27) from the other system(B) and converts it into an IPC message. The IPC message conversion libraries(15,25), fetched by their respective processes(13,23), encodes IPC messages into inter IPC server messages or decodes inter IPC server messages into IPC messages. The IPC server(17,27) exchange IPC messages or inter IPC server messages each other through a PVC(Permanent Virtual Channel).
