PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile telephone that can grasp the state of a mobile telephone of a communication destination. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone 1 obtains position information of its own station by means of the GPS and obtains position information of an opposite station through communication with the opposite station. A CPU 40 registers in advance data to identify a mobile telephone of an opposite station whose position is desirably detected to a RAM 44, and when the mobile telephone acting like the opposite station approaches an object position set to its own station, the CPU 40 drives a sound source module 54 to inform a user of the mobile telephone about it, and a display section 52 displays the position information of the opposite station by overlapping it on a map in the vicinity of the object position.
