PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine capable of stopping any times unlawful bill processing performed by a clerk after automatic close inspection. SOLUTION: The automatic teller machine comprises a bill receiving/paying part 51 for receiving/paying bills, by-denomination bill storing parts 55, 56, 57 for storing bills by denominations, a rejected bill storing part 60-1 for storing unlawful bills, bill carrying means 100 for carrying bills to the bill receiving/ paying part, the by-denomination bill storing part 100 and the rejected bill storing part, bill discriminating means 52 for discriminating lawful or unlawful bills to be carried, and a control device 70. A carried bill temporarily reserving part 80 is provided in a portion of the carrying means for temporarily reserving the unlawful bills so that the unlawful bills discriminated by the bill discriminating device are temporarily reserved in the carried bill temporarily reserving part 80 after a cash balance in the automatic teller machine is determined based on the control of the control device. |
