PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing unit, an image display device and an image signal processing method that can correct clamp errors, without being affected by temperature characteristics and secular changes in the circuit. SOLUTION: A clamp section 11 corrects a DC error, between an image signal Sin and a reference level Vref for an input period of a clamp pulse signal CP. A/D converter section 12 converts the corrected image signal S11 into digital image data S12. However, the image data S12 includes a clamp errors which are not corrected by the clamp section 11. A subtractor section 14 outputs error data S13, obtained by subtracting the image data S12 from reference data Dref. A latch section 14 synchronously latches the error data S13 with the clamp pulse signal CP to generate corrected data S14. By having an adder section 15 sum the corrected data S14 and the image data S12, image data Sout with the clamp error corrected are generated.
