PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel support jig of a stud pin seal machine that can prevent damage to the panel caused by the seal defect of the stud pin, and also can prevent occurrence of recesses on the inside of the face caused by the top end of the panel support jig. SOLUTION: This is a panel support jig 5 for supporting the glass panel 1 at four positions with a prescribed distance from the panel diagonal outer diameter end of the panel inside its face part 1a toward the center of the panel, so that stud pins 2 for installing the shadow mask are fused at the center portion or the corner portion of the skirt part 1c of the cathode-ray tube glass panel 1, that is composed of a nearly rectangular face part 1a and a skirt part 1c extending in the nearly vertical direction from the face part 1a through a blend part 1b. The ratio of the curvature radius r at the top end of the panel support jig 5 to the inner curvature radius R of the face part 1a of the glass panel 1 is made to be 0.007<=r/R<=0.012.
