PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a disk reproducing device to secure feeding speed during fast feed and also to perform stable fine-speed feed without being affected by the variation of individual minimum staring voltages of motors. SOLUTION: In a disk reproducing device which is provided with a slide feeding motor which feeds a slide part on which a pickup is loaded in the radial direction of a disk and which gives braking to the part by applying braking power to the part while supplying a voltage having the reverse direction of rotation to the slide feeding motor after the feeding of the slide part, an additional braking time (t) is set by detecting a pulse width from a track cross signal and by calculating the speed of the slide part from the signal.
