PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the directivity of antenna of a portable telephone terminal in which communication quality can be enhanced by reducing trouble of radio wave transmission due to human body without lowering transmission power of the portable telephone terminal. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling the directivity of antenna of a portable telephone terminal in which a signal is transmitted/received using a plurality of antenna elements, the portable telephone terminal detects the states of data communication and voice communication. Directivity of the antenna is controlled to form a transmission beam in a specified direction in the case of data communication and in a direction by-passing the direction of human body in the case of voice transmission. |
