PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated varistor which can be kept high in surge resistance as required and restrained from increasing unnecessarily in electrostatic capacitance, even if internal electrodes is displaced in a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: A pair of internal electrodes 2a and 2b are arranged in a varistor element 1 and led out in mutually opposite directions, confronting each other through the intermediary of a varistor forming material layer 1a, where a width W1 of the internal electrode 2a and a width W2 of the other internal electrode 2b are so set as to satisfy the inequation W1>=W2+2t (t is the thickness of a varistor forming material layer interposed between the internal electrodes). In a laminated varistor, having a structure where a plurality of internal electrodes (including the case where three or more electrodes are provided) are provided in a varistor element, the width W1 of the internal electrodes which is led out in the same direction and selected from among the internal electrodes, that are led alternately in the opposite directions and the width W2 of the other internal electrodes, which are led out in the opposite direction are so set as to satisfy the inequation W1>=W2+2t (where t is the thickness of a varistor-forming material layer interposed between a pair of internal electrodes).
