PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muting circuit that suppresses distortion at the rise of sound when muting is released. SOLUTION: A switch element to turn on/off a sound signal consists of an npn transistor(TR) whose collector is connected to a sound signal line and another npn TR whose emitter is connected to the sound signal line. A circuit generating a mute signal employs an integration circuit. Thus, muting is gradually released while eliminating distortion of the sound signal at the rise of sound when the mute is released.
