<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a sealed lead-acid battery with excellent productivity and battery performance when injecting a solution with granular silica and dilute sulfuric acid dispersed, and then discharging only an extra electrolyte from an outlet. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the sealed lead-acid battery includes injecting a solution having granular silica dispersed in dilute sulfuric acid into a filler port of the battery, and discharging extra dilute sulfuric acid in the battery through an outlet to simultaneously pack and granular silica and inject the sulfuric acid, with the extra dilute sulfuric acid being discharged at a reduced pressure of 1 to 25 kPa. The process of stirring the granular silica and the dilute sulfuric acid together is carried out by first injecting the dilute sulfuric acid, then injecting the granular silica, and finally injecting the dilute sulfuric acid again.</p> |
