PURPOSE: A dual time display method in a mobile terminal is provided to display both home time and local time at the same time so that a user can simply confirm local time at any time without the necessity of using the menu. CONSTITUTION: In order to display both home time and local time on the screen of a standby state, a user selects a dual time mode and either analog or digital mode to display home time and local time(S201,S202). Then the user selects a desired area to display local time(S203). After area selection, the user selects either automatic setup or user setup(S204). In case that the user selects the automatic setup, the terminal downloads the date and time of the selected area from a base station and displays the local time of the selected area with home time on the standby screen(S206). Meanwhile, if the user selects the user setup, the terminal outputs a message to request the user to input the date and time of the selected area. As the user inputs the date and time of the selected area in response to the message(S205), the terminal displays both home time and local time on the standby screen(S206).
