The invention relates to a transponder (1) comprising a data memory (4), in which important data concerning any object can be saved. An energy accumulator (5) is activated using an electric field, to obtain the desired data exchange. If necessary, the comparatively short range for the transmission of information of a passive system of this type can be significantly increased by an external electric energy supply (7). To achieve this, the transponder (1) has a coupling (6) for the contactless transmission of energy from a housing (9) of the energy supply (7), said housing being attached to a fixing element (10) for this purpose. Data can be registered at a limited range even after removal of the energy supply (7), without the risk of loss of data after long periods of time. |
