PURPOSE: An optical mouse is provided to move a cursor on a display screen of a computer system by changing a light path to recollect the light reflected from a bottom surface on a light receiving lens in order to make an optical sensor detect an image. CONSTITUTION: The optical mouse comprises a light source(24) emitting the light, a lens(25) collecting the light reflected from the bottom surface and an optical sensor(27) detecting the light collected on the lens. The lens includes a light receiving lens collecting the light emitted from the light source and reflected to the general bottom surface, and a total reflection prism(30) locating on the path that the light totally reflected to the bottom surface is advancing after penetrating through a transparent material such as a glass and collecting the incident light on the light receiving lens by reflecting the incident light through an interfacing surface.
