PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic salt excellent in capacitor characteristics at a low temperature, to provide an electrolyte using the electrolytic salt, and to provide an electrochemical capacitor and an electric double layer capacitor each using the electrolyte. SOLUTION: The electrolytic salt containing an electrolytic salt (A) expressed by general formula (1), the electrolyte using the electrolytic salt, the electrochemical capacitor including a polarizable electrode impregnated with the electrolyte, and the electric double layer capacitor including the polarizable electrode impregnated with the electrolyte are provided. In the formula, R1 to R4 are hydrogen atoms or hydrocarbon radicals with carbon numbers 1 to 5, wherein the R1 to R4 may be identical or different, and X-1expresses a counter anion.
