PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize seashells for decorating a porcelain tile. SOLUTION: This production process comprises: forming a tile main body having a recessed part 2 in the upper surface, by using a body for porcelain; filling the recessed part 2 with a mixture 3 of crushed seashells and the body for porcelain; and firing the resulting green body.
