PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting a transparent laminated body which can detect between which layers a foreign matter is interposed among layers of a plurality of transparent bodies constituting the transparent laminated body, and can inspect highly accurately. SOLUTION: The apparatus for inspecting the transparent laminated body includes an irradiator for irradiating light to the transparent laminated body in which transparent bodies are laminated, an image pickup device for imaging the transparent laminated body from a front face, and an image data-processing means for processing image data obtained by the image pickup device. The irradiator irradiates a laser light that penetrates from the front face to a rear face of the transparent laminated body by a predetermined angle to a lamination direction of the transparent bodies. The image pickup device has a solid image pickup device with a plurality of photoelectric conversion cells arranged in matrix. The solid imaging element is constituted so that each of the photoelectric conversion cells receives the light directly or through only a coating.
