PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worked end position detector using a GPS which can detect positional coordinates of a worked end with a higher accuracy in a construction machine for civil engineering having an arm so arranged as to support the worked end (e.g. edge of a bucket) through a plurality of mobile parts. SOLUTION: In the construction machine for civil engineering which has an arm so arranged as to support a worked end through a plurality of mobile parts, the worked end position detector is provided with a plurality of position sensors for detecting respective states of a plurality of mobile parts, two antennas for GPS installed at specified positions of the construction machine, a receiver for receiving information on the respective three-dimensional positions of the two antennas, and an arithmetic means for computing the three-dimensional positions of the worked end based on the information on the three-dimensional positions of the two antennas from the receiver and outputs from the receiver and outputs from the plurality of position sensors.
