METHOD FOR INJECTING SOLIDIFIER THROUGH IN-PIPE MIXING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make more uniform the rate of addition of a solidifier slurry to a plug when soil for solidification process is obtained through the injection of the solidifier slurry into a force-feed pipe through which dredged sediment is forcibly fed by means of air. SOLUTION: A sediment flow meter 2 provided near the exit of a force feeder 1 measures the amount by which dredged sediment flows out, and a plug detector 5 detects the time of passage of the plug. A solidifier slurry adding device 6, in which a solidifier slurry injection pump 8 in steady-state operation causes the solidifier slurry to circulate through a slurry circulation path leading to a slurry plant 7, has its injection/reflow switching device 9 actuated based on a signal detected by the plug detector 5, so that the slurry is instantaneously injected and added at the time when the plug passes. Also, the amount by which the slurry is injected is measured by a solidifier slurry flowmeter 10 installed between the switching device 9 and the force-feed pipe 13 and the rate of addition of the slurry is adjusted according to the amount by which the dredged sediment flows out and the amount by which the slurry flows out.
