SOLUTION: In this scissors type track branching device, two branch track beams are respectively arranged on parallel track beams, a rotatable rotary beam 7 is arranged in an inter-track central part, a diagonal branch track beam is switched, and is connected to the rotary beam 7, and is connected to the other track beam from one track beam, and the rotary beam is rotated for securing the passing of a track at branching time. A guide arm 11 having a guide groove 11a is projected on the rotary beam 7, a driving arm 26 having on the tip a guide roller 27 for engaging with the guide groove 11a is arranged on the ground side, and when the driving arm 26 is positioned at a right angle to the guide groove 11a, the rotary beam 7 becomes a prescribed rotary position, and a rotational movement of the rotary beam 7 is fixed.
