摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the accuracy in controlling an air-fuel ratio caused by the lowering of the accuracy in the estimation of the reserve oxygen amount in transient time in an air-fuel ratio controller for an internal combustion engine estimating the reverse oxygen amount on the basis of an intake air amount and the air-fuel ratio, and controlling the air-fuel ratio on the basis of the estimated value. SOLUTION: A correction coefficient for correcting a detected value of the intake air amount in transient oreration is determined on the basis of a differential valueΔTp of a basic injection amount TP indicating the engine load, and a differential valueΔNe of an engine rotating speed Ne to cope with exhaust emission amount flowing into a catalyst delayed to the change of the intake air amount. The reserve oxygen amount in the catalyst is estimated from the intake air amount corrected by the correction coefficient and the deviationΔλof air-fuel ratio, and the feedback correction coefficient of the air-fuel ratio is determined to obtain the reserve oxygen amount of a target value.
