PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially performable safe method for purifying an organic compound in a high yield, in a method for producing the organic compound including the removal treatment of hydrogen fluoride contaminating the organic compound. SOLUTION: This method for producing the organic compound is characterized by effecting the organic compound contaminated with hydrogen fluoride with an inorganic compound capable of reacting with hydrogen fluoride or fluoride ion to form a salt in an aqueous medium for forming the salt and removing the salt.
