PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of burning waste, capable of controlling the process of combustion on a fire grate to improve the quality of falling slag in reuse or precipitation performance, without accompaning disadvantages of the prior arts. SOLUTION: In the method of burning waste on the fire grade by feeding a primary air from the lower side thereof comprising the steps of first drying and igniting waste, performing a main combustion method and then carrying out falling slag, combustible portions still reside adjacent to already formed slag at the end of the main combustion process, and combustion speed or intensity is selectable, such that it is decreased at the beginning and terminating periods of combustion, while increasing at an intermediate period thereof.
