PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded object probing device capable of preventing the inductance of an antenna used as a transmitter and a receiver from changing. SOLUTION: Electromagnetic transmission signals with directivity are individually transmitted from the transmitter 5 installed to a predetermined object 4 into a medium at a plurality of predetermined points in the surface of the medium with marker bodies 3 as targets previously glued to an embedded object 2 embedded in the medium. Electromagnetic response signals with directivity transmitted from the marker bodies 3 by the action of electromagnetic induction in response to the transmission signals are received by the receiver 6. On the basis of the received response signals, the presence or absence of the embedded object 2 is detected in the embedded object probing device. The transmitter 5 and the receiver 6 are each constituted by providing coil parts 5a and 6a wound on a predetermined magnetic material and capacitors 5b and 6b and are installed to the object 4 via electromagnetic shielding materials 19.
