PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in photosensitivity characteristics and electrification characteristics even after repeated use, having good wear resistance, not causing image defects due to active species such as ozone and NOx generated in an electrification process and having practically satisfactory electrical, physical and chemical performances. SOLUTION: The top of an electrically conductive substrate 1 is coated by a dip coating method with a photosensitive layer or an electric charge transferring layer 5 containing a specified butadiene compound as an electric charge transferring material 4, a binder resin comprising two or more resins and containing <50 wt.% polycarbonate resin having a specified structural unit and a phenol compound having a specified hindered phenol structural unit to produce the objective electrophotographic photoreceptor.
