PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer by which defective transfer and transfer scattering caused by laying with tension the long transfer paper P of 1 (m), for instance, between a fixing device not shown in a figure and a pair of resist rollers are suppressed in the printer in which the occurrence of paper power is prevented by making a lower guide plate 52 flexible. SOLUTION: A deflection suppressing member 61 to back up the lower guide plate 52 from the side of a transfer charger 53 is provided.
